Effective immediately, tier cost for land on the SoulManager sim will be raised. Current residents (on September 27th 2007) will be grandfathered till January 14th 2008, and pay according to the new tier structure on January 15th, 2008.
Tier is as follows (per month) :
- 1 – 1024 sqm : L$ 2,050
- 1025 – 2048 sqm : L$ 4,100
- 2049 – 3072sqm : L$ 6,150
- 3073 – 4096 sqm : L$ 8,200
- 4097 – 5120 sqm : L$ 10,250
- 5121 – 6144 sqm : L$ 12,300
- 6145 – 7168 sqm : L$ 14,350
- 7169 – 8192 sqm : L$ 16,400

While we definitely hate doing so, and realize that this will make attracting new residents slightly more difficult, we have to assure that the economic viability and stability of the virtualSecond brand is not undermined. A communication dated September 28th, 2007 by Linden Lab towards virtualSecond owner and manager ServMe Nakamura, has made it clear that our monthly expenses will rise with at least 21%. In order to guarantee long term success, we have to adjust tier to reflect this increase.
